"MYOFASCIAL PAIN is caused by "trigger points", sensitive and painful areas between the muscle and fascia. Symptoms can range from referred pain through myofascial trigger points to specific pains in other areas of the body. The precise cause of myofascial pain is not fully understood and is undergoing research in several medical fields."

"FIBROMYALGIA (FM or FMS) is characterised by chronic widespread pain and allodynia (a heightened and painful response to pressure). Fibromyalgia symptoms are not restricted to pain, leading to the use of the alternative term fibromyalgia syndrome for the condition. Other symptoms include debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, and joint stiffness. Some people also report difficulty with swallowing, bowel and bladder abnormalities, numbness and tingling, and cognitive dysfunction. Fibromyalgia is frequently associated with psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety and stress-related disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder. Not all people with fibromyalgia experience all associated symptoms."

Today I went to Dr Anwar's clinic at bandar seberang jaya, penang..I've been waiting for few months to go and see him since the pain getting more severe few months back..but I've postponed the appointment date until today due to some unexpected circumstances..
Guess what..?? He is so pleased with the body diagram I've prepared (because it explains all my pain and he can keep it as record)..and since the pain already covered most of my body part..he suggested me to drip some liquid to ease the pain..and continue with my medicine..cymbalta, lyrica and xanax..
Those liquids are..Besquil, Manitol & Dextrose..it was really painful..but Praise be to Allah..all went very well..and I'm able to bend a bit -rukuk- while solat now..the pain at my backbone ease a bit and I can sit on the floor much longer than before..Praise be to Allah..
As we already know.."these medicines do not cure the problem but rather helps relieve the symptoms because a person with FIBROMYALGIA may suffer from numerous symptoms, it is important for us and our health-care professional to discuss which symptoms are the most severe and need to be treated with a prescribed medication."
